Ladies of Lune : Antara Motiwala

Ladies of Lune : Antara Motiwala

A luxuriously languorous attitude, a default energy setting that's always at 'warm' and an impeccable aesthetic that radiates out of her—antara_m sure is incredibly easy to be around.  Having worked with leading international fashion publications—@vanityfairitaliaand @condenast in Italy—her stint back home found her taking on the role of Fashion Editor at @gqIndia. Cut to present, Antara is a leading fashion stylist and consultant, working with brands and infusing her essence in everything she touches. She's a true golden girl if there ever was one. She speaks to Lune about fashion and her favourite things.

What jewellery style are you naturally attracted to?
I love delicate jewellery and also vintage jewellery. I've grown up with my mom and her sisters who would visit jewellers almost every day, so my childhood was pretty much like Breakfast at Tiffany's! I thought it's normal to have lunch, tea, and cakes at the jewellery store. I can't complain,I love and appreciate all the beautiful well-crafted jewellery.
First thought/word that comes to your mind when you think about Lune
Delicate, pearly, and divine…

Opinions/Musings about the following

The industry that you work in
Don't take it or yourself too seriously, it's like a constantly-changing season. It's best to adapt and always be open to learning and getting inspired in the process.
What does sisterhood mean to you now that you wish you knew 10 years ago?
It means empowerment, equality, being a warrior, having a voice, an opinion, and always being there for yourself and the women around you.

What have you learnt from disappointment?
That it leads you nowhere; it's better to limit your expectations and it's also extremely human to err.
On love and kindness
Sprinkle it every chance you get!

What does beauty mean to you?
Being uniquely yourself and owning it.
On routine
I'm finally realising the importance of it.

On city living
I can't imagine living anywhere else although we travel very often. I think it's mandatory to love your city!

The future is…
