Our Story

Shop Lune was founded in 2012, born from a trip to Birmingham while Sreesha was living in London. She wanted to make subversive jewellery for herself, in a world of conventional design. 

The Custard Factory, a creative hub for independent businesses and alternative culture in the city’s Digbeth quarter, sparked something much like East London had already done for her. The Birmingham Jewellery Quarter turned that spark into Lune. 

One of our brand colours, Lune Custard, seen in the Lune Box and bags, is a nod to the Custard Factory, developed to resemble the colour of custard itself. Lune has been online since 2012.

We opened the first shop and gallery in Chimbai Village, Bandra, Bombay in 2018. Since then the brand has grown to include a shop and gallery in Panjim, Goa and POP LUNE, a cultural space next to the Chimbai shop hosting a changing programme of events, residencies and collaborations. 

Our jewellery is made in collaboration with skilled craftsmen in Jaipur, Delhi and Bombay.
