Our Story

The
goal for Lune is to use Indian jewellery techniques to craft modern, timeless and nomadic pieces, while also creating and sustaining artisanal jobs. Now, handcrafted across India, with a focus on conceptualising and crafting jewellery that is ‘everyday’ in appeal while also being luxe, you will observe that Lune pieces speak directly to the contemporary woman of today. Guided by the moon and all things celestial, symbolism, art and sculpture (Lune is French for ‘moon’), you will see manifestations of those inspirations and intuitions in the pieces,  year after year.

Handcrafted in India, the brand is helmed by Sreesha Shetty and her team of talented artisans and hands-on team based in Goa and Mumbai who bring Lune to life.

Sreesha Shetty is Goan by heart and South Indian by roots – her jewellery has the minimalism of Panjim and calm of Chikmagalur, seen in the culture, lifestyle and architecture of these places. Creative Director and founder of Lune, she studied philosophy at Fergusson college, Pune , journalism at IIJNM, Bangalore, design at Central Saint Martins, London and worked as a fashion writer before embarking on Lune full-time. She pours all these learnings and experiences into Lune to create one-of-a-kind memorable pieces that is easy to wear and that will stay with you forever. Her team also interviews some of India’s most creative and entrepreneurial talents for the Lune blog to focus on voices that speak of contemporary India.
