Auspicious, divine, feminine—gold means so many different things to different communities across India. Spanning from the north to south, east to west, there are so many Indias that live in gold. Introducing a new collection for #LuneFine together with re-launching our bestsellers in 18kt solid gold, in the most uncertain time in history, 2020.

Lune has always stood for jewellery that’s extremely wearable. Even our most modern and signature pieces have that unique quality of blending into your persona and lifestyle. And perhaps, the second most important element of our identity is the fact that we're an Indian homegrown brand. And befittingly, solidifying both these aspects is Lune Fine 2020, crafted in 18K gold. We celebrate both—our classics and our love for Indian craftsmanship in the jewellery space—and give you timeless pieces to treasure and someday, pass on.

Speaking about the new collection, Sreesha Shetty, founder, Lune, says "I took this on as a project during lockdown with my mother. With Covid, I re-assessed the way we made jewellery, our materials and the practicality of our delicate pieces on modern women just like me. We had already deep-dived into converting our much-loved brass pieces into 925 sterling silver and gold vermeil, earlier this year and it was about time we also offered them in 18kt solid gold.

This collection explores a play with gemstones— Hyderabad seed pearls, hand-cut lapis lazuli and mother-of-pearl—designed into ear chains, rings, delicate necklaces and lariats, ear studs, nose pins and talisman necklaces that make jewellery a joy to wear everyday.

I love wearing rings and with the new health and safety guidelines, considerable use of sanitisers (which meant more moisturiser), wearing precious metals was the only way to go.

We directly made all our bestsellers available in 18kt solid gold which is the best in-between; 14kt is susceptible to scratches and 22kt is too soft. And perhaps most importantly, gold is an investment—one that you get to wear, enjoy, share and eventually pass on to your loved ones."
